Power Assisted Liposuction - Patients ask Dr. Ringpfeil answers
Please feel free to use the blog below to share information about Power Assisted Liposuction or to ask Dr. Franziska Ringpfeil a question that might be of interest to others.
Liposuction is a fat removal procedure that can reduce the amount of stubborn fat in various areas of the body. Today, there are a number of advanced liposuction techniques and non-surgical fat removal options. We are pleased to offer power assisted liposuction (PAL), a state-of-the-art technique that can facilitate a more efficient removal process.
A traditional liposuction procedure eliminates fat using a small sterile metal tube, called a cannula, and suction. During the procedure, the cannula is inserted into the treatment area and fat cells are drawn out, which permanently reduces the amount of excess fat in that part of the body. PAL is unique because it uses a special vibrating cannula to dislodge fat cells. When the fat cells are broken down prior to suctioning, more fat can be eliminated at a faster rate. Moreover, the targeted loosening of fat cells ultimately helps to preserve other tissues.
To prepare the treatment area for power assisted liposuction, Dr. Ringpfeil will inject a dilute, anesthesia-containing solution into the treatment area. The liquid causes the treatment area to swell. This step eliminates the need for general anesthesia and reduces blood loss during the procedure.
Power assisted liposuction has several advantages, including:

In addition to power assisted liposuction, Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology also offers other body sculpting options such as:
